The Gitter-Smolarz Library of Life Sciences and Medicine is the primary library for study, teaching, and research for the students and staff of the George S. Wise Faculty of Life Sciences and the Sackler Faculty of Medicine. The library also serves the Tel Aviv University community.

As of 2003, most of the library’s journal collection is electronic and only a small part of it is available in hard copy
