Off-Campus Access
Students and staff of Tel Aviv University are
entitled to off-campus access to the library Internet
electronic resources: databases, journals, books
and reprints. Instructions on an off-campus
connection .
Aleph Catalog
Library Catalog will be inaccessible on Tuesday night
and once in 3 weeks on Friday night.
Video Recorded University Courses
Various recorded university courses in Hebrew can be watched via the
University Internet Video Services. The courses can be watched in the library,
as well as on and off-campus computers.
Username and password are required:
- University WebMmail (Post) username and password are valid for the University
Video System. For instructions on acquiring a username and password refer
to the University Information Technology and Computer Division: Computer Account
- If you forgot your username or password you can recover it by reactivating
the computer account (Hebrew) or by referring to the Computer Technical Support staff in the library.

Access to the university video server is available at:

In the library: The video courses are accessible from the
public workstations on the entrance floor (except for those in room 4).
Off-library Off-library access requires windows media player ver.9.0 , voice card and Off-campus connections.
Computer Drive for Life Sciences Courses
Files for Faculty of Life Sciences courses, are installed on
drive “H Classes”.
The drive is accessible on and off-campus.
In the library: the drive is installed on the
public workstations in the library. It is displayed on
the desktop as ”Life Sciences Drive” (Hebrew).

Computer Services in the Library |
Temporary Storage Drive
Temporary storage drives (“THAWSPACE”) are accessible on the
public workstations in the library . On each workstation
the drive is located under MY COMPUTER or under
DRIVE C.
Please note!
The Computer/Technical Support staff erases all stored files once a week!
All workstations in the library support USB flash drives.
Laptop use in the Library
Electrical outlets for laptops and wireless access are available throughout the library.
Access to the electronic library resources by wireless laptops requires changes
of proxy configurations on your browser. For instructions on proxy
configurations refer to:

Document Scanning and CD Burning |
The computer/technical support staff provides document scanning and CD burning services to the University community, under the restrictions of copyright laws. The service is fee based.
Burning
Burning of MS Office files, PDF and other file formats is available.
Burning fee is 10 Shekels, CD included.
Scanning
A self service scanner is available in room 24 on the entrance floor.
Materials can be scanned to PDF format only. Scanned files can be saved on diskettes, on diskonKey or on the temporary storage drive.
Self service scanning fee is 0.7 NIS per page.
The support staff scans documents, publications, selected sections and images upon demand.
The materials are saved in PDF, TIF or JPG format.
